Palace to Palace Bike Ride – 14th October 2012

Nothing medical this week, purely self promotion! An interesting mix of 8 fit/unfit, practitioners/ patients, young and old(ish) Friends of Openhealth are embarking on a 45 mile ride next weekend for the benefit of the Prince’s Trust Charity.

If I’m honest, this Charity came in to my view thirty years ago, when some very cool Rock Stars started performing one-off concerts in aid of the Trust. Actually, didn’t really know at the time what it represented, but the music was great!! Since the late 70s, the Prince’s Trust has continued to grow and along the way helps approximately 40,000 young people every year. It provides mentoring support and offers financial grants to help build the confidence and motivation of young disadvantaged young people.

The best bit is that currently for every £1 donated, 70p is spent on charitable activities. We are supporting this worthy cause, so if any of you would like to help, here’s the link.
